  7. ‚Ä¢ Tumors that overproduce somatostatin cause electrolyte (mineral) abnormalities, diabetes mellitus, weight
  8.   loss, malabsorption of food in the intestine (steatorrhea), loss of gastric acid (gastric achlorhydria) and
